Outage Minimum of Cooperative Transmission with Sleep Mechanism

چکیده

With the development of wireless communication, signal processing and Micro Electro Mechanical System(MEMS), a new wireless network named wireless sensor network(WSN) came into being. However, due to the limitations of sensor node, e.g., limited energy, wireless wideband and computation capability, there are many novel challenges in the area of wireless sensor network. It is unpractical to depend on an independent node and it is necessary to utilize cooperation between sensor nodes to solve these problems. Through sensor nodes’ cooperation, it is expected that the resource utilization and the performance of wireless sensor network can be improved significantly. This paper focuses on how the cooperation between sensor nodes influences the performance of WSN with sleep mechanism and the restrain of sensor node’s total energy. First, how to transmit signal via cooperative transmission is introduced. Then, based on Nakagami channel, the outage performance of cooperative transmission with sleep mechanism is discussed. An optimization model for minimizing outage under limit total power which includes the transmission energy and circuit power consumption is proposed, and the solution is discussed in theory. Finally, simulations are presented to verify the performance.
